Training log

Text your lifts between sets. Pally keeps the log, spots the PRs, and tells you when to add weight.

The best training log is the one you actually fill in. Text pally your sets in whatever shorthand you use and it keeps the numbers straight: every lift, every session, PRs flagged and trends tracked across weeks.

The routine

How it works

Text your session the way you would say it: exercises, sets, reps, weight, in your own shorthand. Pally sets up the log from your first workout and files every lift with its numbers, so there is no app to open and no form to fill between sets.

Because the history is structured, pally notices things the notes app never will. A new top set gets called out as a PR the moment you log it, and a lift that has quietly stalled for three weeks is visible when you ask.

Ask about any lift and get the trend, not just the last entry: where your bench was a month ago, how volume has moved, whether Friday sessions are weaker than Monday ones. The answers come from your real numbers.

When the numbers say you are ready, pally can suggest the next step, like adding five pounds to a lift that has been clean for two weeks. Tell it your program and it keeps the suggestions inside your plan, or just log freely and let the data speak.

A useful fit

Good for

  • Logging a session in one text from the gym floor
  • Getting PRs flagged the moment they happen
  • Seeing a lift's trend over weeks, not just last session
  • Spotting the stalled lift that needs a change
  • A nudge to add weight when the numbers earn it

Text it naturally

Things to try

log today: squats 5x5 at 225, bench 3x8 at 185, pullups 3x10
how's my bench trending this month?
what did i squat this time last month?
which lifts have stalled?

Common questions

How is this different from workout accountability?+

That recipe keeps you showing up: check-ins, streaks, and a firm word when you waver. This one keeps the numbers once you're there: sets, weights, PRs, and trends. Plenty of people run both.

Do I have to log in a specific format?+

No. Text your session in whatever shorthand you use and pally files the exercises, sets, reps, and weights. If something is ambiguous, it asks once rather than logging a guess.

Can pally program my training?+

It logs, tracks, and suggests progression from your own numbers, like adding weight to a lift that has been clean for weeks. Tell it the program you follow and the suggestions stay inside it; your coach's plan stays your coach's plan.
