Trusted Pally network

Your Pally works with theirs.

Connect your Pally with the Pallys of the people you plan with all the time: your partner, your close friends, your colleagues. Each relationship gets its own circle, with its own sharing.

You text your own Pally, as usual. It works things out privately with theirs, inside what each person chose to share, and reports back to you. There is no shared thread, and you never talk to someone else's Pally.

Circles

One circle per relationship

Your partner should see more than your colleagues do. When you make a circle, Pally suggests a starting share for the relationship.

Partner

Your full calendar, with booking, and your general location.

Dinner lands on both calendars. “Is Sam home yet?” answers itself.

Close friends

Free/busy on your calendar, and your general location.

The one night four people are free, found without the thread.

Colleagues

Free/busy on your calendar. Slack, Linear, Drive, or Notion when the work needs it.

Meetings land in open slots. Status comes from Linear, not from you.

Each person picks their own share, and every switch stays editable. A new member shares only their name and contact card until they choose more.

The relay

One task, two chats

You task your own Pally. Priya's Pally asks Priya. Each person stays in their own chat.

Your chat
Monday 9:41
You: find a dinner night for the four of us next week
Pally: on it. checking with priya, sam and maya's Pallys
Pally: thursday 7pm works for everyone. priya's free, sam's free after 6:30, maya's clear. want me to hold it?
You: yes, and book somewhere italian
Delivered
Priya's chat
Monday 9:42
Pally: alex's Pally is looking for a dinner night next week. i can share your free/busy with your close friends circle. ok once, always, or no?
You: always
Pally: done. i'll share free/busy with this circle from now on

How it works

Connect, invite, task, report back

  1. Tell Pally who to connect, for example "connect my partner Sam" or "make a circle called ski trip with Ana and Leo".
  2. Any member can ask their Pally to invite someone by phone number. The invite lands in the invitee's own Pally chat as a question. They reply "yes" and they are in. There is no link, no web step, and no separate approval when the circle's creator invited them.
  3. Someone not on Pally yet gets a held seat and a join link that you send them yourself. Messages for them wait until they join.
  4. You task your own Pally. It works with the other Pallys and reports the outcome back to you in your own chat.

Sharing

What you can share

Each person picks what their Pally may share with each circle, one capability at a time, on your Pally dashboard or by telling their Pally. A new member starts with their name and contact card. Nothing else.

Calendar

Free/busy when you first share it. You can also share titles and times, or let their Pallys book time.

Location

Your general area, at city or neighborhood level. Never an address or coordinates.

Email

Share reading, sending, or both.

Slack

Share reading, posting, or both.

Linear

Share reading issues, making changes, or both.

Google Drive

Find files and share links only. File contents stay private.

Notion

Read, write, or only the pages you select.

Contact card

Your name and the handles you choose to give the circle. Shared from the start.

Shared profile

Facts your Pally may state freely in that circle, like dietary needs or your neighborhood.

Anything you do not share is not readable. Another member's Pally cannot read your private tools, like your calendar, without your permission.

Control

You stay in control

  • Your sharing is per circle. Your partner's Pally can book your evenings while your colleagues see only free/busy.
  • Beyond your name and contact card, nothing is shared until you choose.
  • When a circle task needs something you have not shared, your own Pally asks you once. You can allow it once, allow it always, or decline. "Yes, always" saves a standing permission.
  • When Pally sends an email, posts in Slack, or books calendar time under a standing permission, it tells you after.
  • You can watch the Pallys work in a transcript on the circle's dashboard page. Declined requests never appear in the transcript.
  • Leaving a circle, or removal from it, removes you from every member's sharing list.
  • Circle memory only holds what was said in the circle or explicitly contributed. Personal memory never syncs into a circle.

Ask once

Pally: sam's Pally wants your free/busy for thursday. ok?
You: yes

Allow always

You: always
Pally: saved for this circle

Notify after

Pally: booked thursday 7pm at lupa for the ski trip circle

Messages

Circle threads and hand-offs

Tell your Pally something for someone in a circle and it delivers the message over a private circle thread to that person's Pally.

You can also hand their Pally a to-do. It runs in their own chat under their rules, and you get a one-line outcome back. You choose who may send you instructions.

Automations

Circle automations

Any member can propose a scheduled circle task. The creator approves it. Any member can mute it.

Limits

What a circle does not do

  • A circle has no shared thread. When everyone should read the same conversation, add Pally to a group chat.
  • Text data from iMessage and WhatsApp is never shareable with a circle.
  • Location never gets more precise than a city or neighborhood.
  • Each person's Pally turns count against that person's own usage limit.

Get started

Three texts to send Pally

Connect your partner
You: connect my partner Sam
Make a circle
You: make a circle called ski trip with Ana and Leo
Give it a task
You: find a weekend in january that works for the ski trip circle

Privacy

Sharing is per person, per circle, per capability

A circle never widens what your Pally may read or do on its own. Read the Pally privacy policy.
