How it works

Choose the Slack channels pally should watch and tell it what deserves an interruption. Direct mentions can reach you right away, while a busy project channel can wait for a short batch. You decide whether a channel should be watched broadly or only when someone explicitly needs you.

Pally reads the surrounding thread before deciding what matters, so a mention arrives with the request and its useful context. Repetitive bot traffic and routine chatter stay out of the way. When a channel proves to be mostly automated noise, pally can demote it and tell you what changed.

Alerts arrive as messages you can understand without opening Slack. You see who needs you, what they are asking, and whether a deadline or decision is attached. Batched channels become a compact catch-up instead of a stream of disconnected notifications throughout the day.

Reply to handle the next move. Ask pally to draft an answer, change a channel to mention-only, restore a channel to fuller watching, or explain why something was surfaced. A Slack reply is shown to you before it leaves your world, keeping the final say in the same conversation.

Will every Slack message become a text?+

No. You choose the channels and the threshold, and pally can separate instant mentions from batched channel updates. Routine chatter and bot-heavy traffic can be skipped or reduced to mention-only.

Can I change how one channel is watched?+

Yes. Tell pally to batch it, make it mention-only, or pay closer attention again. When pally demotes a noisy channel itself, it leaves you a note so the adjustment is visible and easy to reverse.

Can pally reply in Slack for me?+

It can prepare a reply from the context of the alert. You see and approve the completed wording before pally posts it to Slack.
