Email catch-up

A weekend away turns into 126 unread. Pally reads them all and hands you the four lines that matter.

This is the companion to triage: not "what needs me" but "what happened." Pally reads the unread pile across your inboxes and gives you the plot, so you're caught up in one message instead of one hour.

The routine

How it works

Tell pally how far back your email gap goes and what kind of catch-up would help. A weekend, a holiday, or simply since yesterday morning gives it a clear window. You can ask across Gmail, Outlook, or both connected inboxes without opening either one first.

Pally reads the unread threads in that period and reconstructs what happened. Confirmations, changed arrangements, decisions, and messages that alter your plans rise to the top, while repeated notifications, receipts, and general mail are compressed into the background.

The answer gives you the plot of the inbox rather than a longer list of subject lines. It can tell you that a renewal arrived, people confirmed, or an important detail moved, while distinguishing those developments from messages that actively need a response.

Use a follow-up text to zoom in. Ask what changed in one thread, request the relevant details, or switch from catch-up to drafting a reply. Pally retains the thread context, and any email it prepares remains yours to review and approve before sending.

Common questions

How is email catch-up different from inbox triage?+

Catch-up answers what happened while you were away; triage answers what needs your attention or response now. You can start with the story of the unread pile, then ask pally to narrow it to the threads that require action.

Can it cover Gmail and Outlook together?+

Yes, if you connect both inboxes. Tell pally whether you want one combined catch-up or only one account, and it can make clear which inbox each important development came from.

What if the summary is too short?+

Reply with the topic, sender, or development you want to inspect. Pally can bring back more of that email thread's context without making you restart the catch-up or search the entire inbox yourself.
