August 6, 2026

New features

  • Pally in group chats now has the full toolkit: ask it something in a group and it can use your own connected apps and info on your own plan, just like your 1:1 chat - private answers go to your DM, and anything that sends on your behalf still asks you first.
  • Friends in your group chats can now join Pally right from the group: whoever added Pally counts as their referrer, so signing up comes with the usual referral perks.
  • Anyone in a group can now schedule personal updates posted into the group, like a morning availability post, using their own account.
  • Pally can now send real photos: ask for pictures of a restaurant, product, or place and they arrive as actual photos in the chat. Photos you send Pally can be saved and sent back later, and recommendations for places like restaurants and hotels now come with a couple of photos so you can get a feel.

Improvements

  • Pally is quicker to let you know it's on it: when a request takes real work, it sends a fast heads-up like "checking your calendar" before digging in, and the typing dots now show only while Pally is actually writing back.
  • A simple "yes please" is now enough to confirm a change Pally just offered to make to one of your automations - no more being asked to repeat a specific phrase.
  • Scheduled updates like briefs and digests are now smarter about volume: before sending, Pally checks what it has already sent you recently, so you get fewer piled-up messages when you haven't had a chance to respond.
  • Pally in group chats now chimes in whenever a message says its name, not just when you tag @pally or reply to one of its messages.
  • Pally now explains its texting setup clearly: you can text with Pally over iMessage, SMS, or RCS from any phone, while inbox management (reading and replying as you) covers iMessage on a Mac and WhatsApp.
  • Pally checks your calendar, email, and files first instead of asking you for details it can already look up.
  • If Pally is auto-replying to friends for you and your Mac goes offline, it now knows and tells you straight away instead of assuming everything is still running.
  • Ask Pally about your LinkedIn network, like who you know in a city, and it now offers a real way to help: send it your LinkedIn connections export and Pally fills in public details like location and company, instead of dodging the question.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a setup glitch where an automation watching a specific email account could be saved in a way that made it silently never fire.
  • Texts to a contact you'd already put on auto-send no longer stop to ask your permission before sending.
  • Fixed a glitch where Pally could suddenly mention ignoring a suspicious message or "injection attempt" that never actually existed.
  • When Pally texts one of your contacts from your Mac, it now sends in their existing chat using the right service - iMessage, RCS, or SMS - instead of always trying iMessage.
  • Asking Pally to stop entirely now shows up correctly everywhere, so you won't keep getting attention as an active user after you've said goodbye.

New features

  • Pally can now send files and react with tapbacks in group chats, alongside the image creation that arrived the same day.
  • Superhuman users now get first-class support: tell Pally you use Superhuman when connecting email and it works with your Superhuman setup, and if you're on a Superhuman Business or Enterprise plan you can also link Superhuman itself for extras like seeing who opened your emails and drafts written in your Superhuman voice.
  • Pally can now read PDF attachments (tickets, letters, forms) and tell you exactly what they say.
  • You can now ask pally for the exact text in a screenshot or photo, word for word, not just a description.
  • Pally can now create images in group chats.
  • You can now connect Zoom so pally can schedule, update, and cancel Zoom meetings for you.
  • Pally's alerts and briefs now come with the work already done: when something needs a reply, a booking, or a scheduling answer, pally attaches a ready-to-approve draft or offers to handle it - across email, WhatsApp, iMessage, and Slack - instead of leaving it on your to-do list.
  • When someone is waiting on your availability, pally checks your calendar and proposes a concrete time instead of telling you to pick one.
  • Pally now keeps a precise log of every action it takes - ask "what have you done today?" or "did you send that email?" and you'll get a straight, accurate answer, including an honest "that wasn't me" if something else touched your accounts.

Improvements

  • Asking Pally to stop or back off now really stops everything: scheduled updates like the morning brief and meeting prep pause too, Pally confirms exactly what it paused, and one message brings any of it back. There's also a new scheduled-briefs toggle in your dashboard notification settings.
  • When something you asked for during a call doesn't go through, your call summary and history now say so plainly instead of listing it as done.
  • Web research is faster and more powerful: one search system now handles quick current facts, opening sources, and deeper multi-source digging, with stronger citations and better company and market research.
  • You can now text with Pally from Android phones: the Pally number speaks RCS and SMS as well as iMessage.
  • The monthly caps on web research and browser tasks are gone: every plan, including Free, now includes unlimited web research, bookings, and purchases.
  • Email search on personal Hotmail and Outlook accounts now digs much deeper, working around a Microsoft limitation, and tells you exactly how far back it looked.
  • If a long-running background job stalls, pally now tells you instead of going quiet.
  • Codes you need to type or copy, like the WhatsApp pairing code, now always arrive as their own message with nothing else in it, so one tap copies exactly the code.
  • When the same thing keeps needing attention, like a failing card or a noisy sender, pally now suggests a lasting fix such as a standing rule or unsubscribe instead of pinging you again.
  • If a request needs a higher plan, pally now does the closest included version right away instead of stopping at an upgrade suggestion.
  • Reminders and calendar saves are more resilient: brief provider hiccups retry automatically, and if something still fails pally says so and offers the next-best way to cover it.
  • Pally's everyday tone is a little warmer and more personal: it takes genuine interest, remembers what matters to you, and feels more like texting someone who knows you.
  • Pally now gets to know your tastes: before booking or buying something for you, it checks what it already knows you like (direct flights, seat class, budget vs treat-yourself), asks once when something important is unknown, and remembers your answer so you never have to repeat it.
  • Pally can now read many websites that used to block it, like ticket sites, store listings, and review pages, so it can pull details from links that previously came back empty.
  • Pally now replies a few seconds sooner to short questions like "can you check this?": an old extra wait meant to catch a photo arriving right after your text has been removed.
  • Pally's very first reply when you join now arrives as a few short texts instead of one long message, matching how Pally texts everywhere else.
  • Alert volume is now smarter: before pinging you, Pally considers how many times it has already interrupted you recently, so a busy inbox doesn't turn into a noisy phone - lower-priority items go to your daily brief instead. And you can always ask for quieter (or instant) alerts.
  • Calling Pally now picks up where your texts left off: the call knows what Pally messaged you recently, so you don't have to re-explain why you're calling.
  • When you ask Pally to quiet down, it now treats that as a signal about all its alerts, not just the one you named, and hidden background watchers respect it too.
  • Pally is more decisive when checking whether a contact or phone number is legitimate: strong evidence gets a clear answer instead of an over-cautious hedge.
  • Pre-meeting briefs are sharper: they focus on who you're meeting - your history together, open threads, and fresh news about them - and no longer treat someone you already know as a brand-new contact.

Bug fixes

  • Pally now reliably sends the heads-up it owes you when a connection breaks, like iCloud rejecting an expired app password, a Mac permission being lost, or WhatsApp getting unlinked.
  • Fixed a bug where a stray internal word like "skip" or "silence" could occasionally be texted to you.
  • Pally now always answers a friendly new message even if an earlier message tried to trick it into staying silent.
  • When Pally promises to do something as soon as you connect an app, like adding an event right after you link your calendar, it now follows through on that promise automatically instead of just confirming the connection.
  • Setting reminders is more dependable, with a clear explanation on the rare occasion something does fail.
  • Custom daily summaries you create can now read your Apple Calendar, and Pally is more accurate about which calendars and accounts are actually connected.
  • Telling Pally to ignore messages from someone now sticks: a quick "ignore" to an unwanted update becomes a lasting preference instead of a one-time dismissal.
  • If a message from Pally fails to deliver, Pally now notices the gap, catches you up sooner, and re-sends the exact same draft instead of a reworded one.

New features

  • New users now get a short daily onboarding tip during their first days, each one a concrete idea for something genuinely useful Pally can do, like connecting email, tracking messages, or calling Pally to talk through your inbox hands-free. Existing users get the tip series once too, so nobody misses features they'd love.
  • Pally's welcome message now mentions that these ideas are coming over the next few days, and the "still interested?" check-in for quiet new signups waits until the tips have finished instead of arriving after day one.

Improvements

  • Email and Slack watching is more dependable: Pally verifies its inbox subscription is actually live the moment you connect an account and keeps re-checking it afterward, so alerts can't silently stop while the connection still looks healthy.
  • Important-email alerts now cover all your connected email accounts, and Pally can tell you exactly which inboxes a watch covers.
  • New automations get a startup check, so one that silently fails to start gets caught and fixed instead of never running.
  • Reminders you've already handled ("took my pill") won't fire anyway a little later; Pally checks the conversation first.
  • Tools that only read data (like looking up your website's pages) no longer ask for approval on every single step, and unclear step results get explained instead of a canned "couldn't confirm it finished".
  • More honest error messages: no more "the team has been alerted" when nothing of the sort happened, and no more made-up personal details in casual chat.
  • Pally now uses its own judgment for every incoming email and Slack alert instead of rigid keyword filters, so important automated messages like failed deployments or payment problems are no longer silently ignored.
  • Email alerts are now instant: Pally judges each new email the moment it arrives instead of waiting up to 15 minutes, so a reply you're waiting on gets flagged right away. Asking Pally to watch a thread now means exactly what it says.
  • Moving in from another assistant is smarter: Pally only brings over skills it can actually run for you, skips playbooks tied to hardware it can't reach, leaves imported notes older than six months behind, and reads dated notes with their date in mind so an old plan doesn't show up as this week's.
  • Pally is better at understanding requests phrased your own way: connecting apps, looking up current info, and pulling up your dashboard now rely on Pally's own judgment instead of fixed keyword matching, so fewer requests slip through.
  • Notices about referral credits and call usage are now written by Pally itself, so they read like the rest of your conversation.
  • Connected custom tools (like a website builder) are much more reliable: Pally checks an action's inputs against the tool's own rules before asking you to approve it, and when the tool rejects a step Pally sees the actual error and fixes its approach instead of silently retrying and re-asking.
  • Pally is faster and smarter at finding files on your Mac: it looks in the likely spots directly instead of scanning your whole home folder, and dead-end searches give up quickly instead of leaving you waiting.
  • Pally is now more reliable at reading your email, Slack, and calendar on the first try: fewer wasted retries on lookups that were doomed to fail, and better self-correction when a search needs different wording.
  • Creating a simple timed reminder no longer trips over location-reminder settings that don't apply, and task updates from your conversations are more dependable.
  • Dismissing one message or follow-up will no longer silence future alerts from the same person.
  • Before suggesting you test a call to your Pally number, Pally now checks that incoming calls are actually set up for your line and looks at what happened on your last attempt.
  • Background work is more dependable during busy stretches: tasks and automation triggers queued behind other work for the same account now wait their turn instead of occasionally being dropped.
  • Pally will now recognize when your carrier says a message was blocked and give useful next steps instead of repeating setup questions.
  • Pally's message alerts are better at catching last-minute changes to plans you already have, like a cancellation or new time for today's meeting, without interrupting you for routine scheduling chatter.
  • Connecting WhatsApp is smoother: if your pairing code expires before you finish, Pally sends a fresh one right away, the code arrives in its own easy-to-copy message, and Pally explains the new-device security notice up front so you don't remove it by mistake. If your linked session stays disconnected, Pally follows up once to help you relink.
  • Saying "stop texting me for now" now actually pauses everything non-essential, including weekly recaps, and recap numbers always come from your real data.
  • Non-urgent automatic updates now wait until morning instead of texting you in the middle of the night.
  • You can now move an approved scheduled message to a different time, including "just send it now".
  • Pally can now create events on your other calendars, set up repeating events, and add reminders. Meet links only get added when you ask.
  • Want to hear how Pally sounds on a call before committing? Just call your Pally number and chat, or ask Pally to call you for a quick test in the language or accent you care about.
  • Pally is now upfront that calling its number works from US phones only, instead of running checks and guessing when an international call doesn't connect.
  • Ask for a shared list or to export your data somewhere and Pally now offers something real: a shared Google Doc, Sheet, or Notion page it can keep updated for both of you, instead of saying it can't help.
  • Pally won't lecture you about messages you ask it to send to your own friends, and when a send isn't possible it tells you the real reason first.
  • When a message takes unusually long to reach Pally through the messaging network, Pally now knows and can acknowledge the wait instead of replying as if you just texted.
  • Ask Pally whether one of your automations actually ran and you'll get an answer grounded in its real run history, not a guess.

Bug fixes

  • Pally no longer replies to carrier auto-messages like "message blocking is active", so a blocked number can't trigger an endless texting loop.
  • A reply that failed to deliver is only re-sent while it's still fresh, instead of repeating an hours-old message out of the blue.
  • Late-night "remind me tomorrow" requests now get the exact date read back, so nothing lands a day later than you meant.
  • Fixed a glitch where an email alert could text you a stray internal note like "not worth surfacing" instead of staying quiet about unimportant email.
  • If your very first message to Pally arrived before it finished setting up your account, the welcome reply could silently fail to send over and over; first replies now deliver reliably, links and all.
  • Automations that look things up on social media now recover automatically from brief provider hiccups instead of skipping that run.
  • When your go-ahead on a queued draft is garbled or unclear, Pally now asks a quick clarifying question instead of firing off something you didn't mean to approve.
  • Telling Pally to back off or stop texting now actually switches off nudges and check-ins, not just that conversation.
  • Pally keeps learning your WhatsApp contacts even when a sync hits a snag partway through, instead of losing the whole pass, and a re-synced WhatsApp history no longer shows up as duplicate conversations.
  • If Pally's very first message to a new signup fails to deliver, Pally now notices and sends a friendly check-in the next day instead of going quiet forever.
  • Texts that the network confirms failed to deliver now get retried automatically, outdated failure notices can no longer override a retry that actually went through, and a rare crash can no longer permanently silence a pending retry.
  • Pally is more truthful about sends: it can no longer say something went out on WhatsApp when the message actually went through iMessage or email, and old already-replaced confirmations can't sneak back into later replies.
  • Fixed a Google connection trap: if you miss a permission checkbox during Google sign-in, Pally now catches it right away and asks you to reconnect, instead of the connection looking fine and then failing on you a day later.
  • Pally no longer notifies you about messages it sent itself.
  • Your scheduled updates respect the time you asked for, and you won't get two morning briefs in one morning.
  • Free restaurant reservation requests can now be approved like any other action, instead of being rejected for having no price.
  • Editing one detail of a calendar event no longer touches the rest, so events can't end up renamed to nothing.
  • Cleaner messages: no more stray "*" bubbles or garbled dashes, and system notices now arrive in the language of your conversation.
  • More consistent answers about your plan's connection slots, and asking to be called something like "instead" or "later" no longer confuses what Pally thinks your name is.

New features

  • When you ask Pally why an alert didn't text you, Pally can now check its own monitoring history and tell you exactly what it reviewed and why it stayed quiet, instead of guessing.
  • You can now connect Fathom by name, so Pally can look through your meeting recordings, transcripts, and summaries when you ask.
  • During your first few days, Pally will occasionally suggest one thing worth trying based on what it's learned about you, like having it watch your inbox or set up a custom routine. Quieter if you're already set up, and never a numbered tips series.

Improvements

  • Approving a draft is much simpler: a quick "sounds good" or a thumbs up just works, without Pally re-asking you to confirm.
  • Pally is more dependable about send status: repeated approvals can't double-send, and if a connection drops mid-send you get a clear "not sent" instead of an unclear outcome.
  • Pally's first message now gives you a quick sense of what it can actually do for you, instead of just saying hi.
  • Connecting apps from the dashboard is smoother: after you approve a connection, you land right back on your integrations page instead of a dead-end "close this tab" screen.
  • Pally's browser-powered website checks now run faster and finish more of what you ask.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a rare crash that could make Pally go silent on a request and never follow up, especially when a reply included shopping or product links.
  • All-day calendar events now save as true all-day entries instead of odd late-night timed placeholders.
  • Fixed a bug where Pally could send two replies to the same message.

  • Fixed a WhatsApp bug where sending to a contact you hadn't chatted with yet could fail right after you connected WhatsApp. When a number can't receive WhatsApp messages at all, Pally now tells you that instead of giving a vague error.

New features

  • The pally.com website has a new Recipes section: ready-made routines you can start with one text, each with a live demo of how the conversation goes. Browse them at pally.com/recipes.
  • You can now give Pally one-time access to your whole home folder when setting up Mac access, so it doesn't need to ask folder by folder.
  • You can now sign out of all devices at once from the dashboard's Settings page.

Improvements

  • When the Mac companion can't show the folder access window, Pally now tells you how to grant access instead of pointing you at a prompt that never appears.
  • Pally's texting now runs on a new, more reliable iMessage backbone for new conversations. Android (RCS/SMS) support is on the way as part of the same upgrade.
  • Signing in to the my.pally.com dashboard is much less annoying: you'll stay signed in while you're active, see far fewer "sign in again" interruptions, and land right back where you were after a re-sign-in.
  • The dashboard no longer asks you to sign in again for sensitive actions while you're already signed in; deleting your account keeps its extra confirmation.
  • When your Mac companion app is too old for something you asked for, like granting folder access, Pally now tells you it needs an update instead of reporting an unclear failure.
  • Pally now has much more room to finish long answers and structured work without being cut off partway through.
  • The my.pally.com dashboard navigation got a cleanup: a simpler menu with the everyday pages up front, an account menu with a proper sign-out button, and less clutter overall.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug where asking Pally for access to Mac folders like Desktop or Documents always failed without ever showing the Grant Access window on your Mac.
  • Fixed a bug where running Mac terminal commands in home folders like Desktop could fail because Pally had to guess your Mac username. Pally also says clearly now when a folder doesn't exist on your Mac.
  • When you ask Pally to send a calendar invite for a call or meeting with someone, it now actually invites them: it looks up their email, or asks you who should be on the invite, instead of quietly creating an event on your calendar alone. Plain "add this to my calendar" requests stay instant and private.
  • Fixed a bug where Slack alert automations could get stuck retrying when Slack rate limits them, quietly using up far more of your plan than they should.
  • Fixed a bug where WhatsApp contact syncing could silently stop updating what Pally remembers about some of your contacts.
  • Fixed an error that could stop a task update from saving when a very similar task already existed.
  • Fixed the approval flow so revising a draft no longer risks getting stuck in a confirmation loop.
  • Fixed a reliability gap where a scheduled must-send update could hit its run budget and finish without actually sending you the update.
