Sunday recap

A Sunday-evening note: what pally quietly handled this week, and one thing it could take over next.

Once a week, pally shows its work: the things it quietly handled in the background, and one pattern it noticed that it could take off your plate next, always opt-in and always reported back.

The routine

How it works

Choose a Sunday time and ask pally to recap the work it handled for you during the week. The note arrives in iMessage as a simple record of completed background tasks, giving you one place to see the calls, filing, scheduling, or other routines that finished without demanding your attention each time.

Pally groups the activity into concrete outcomes rather than a technical activity log. You see what was handled and enough quantity or context to understand the week. Because the recap reports completed work, it also makes standing rules easier to notice instead of letting automation become invisible.

The note can include one recurring pattern pally observed and could handle next. It might notice the same kind of forwarding request appearing repeatedly and suggest a standing rule. That suggestion is just an invitation; pally waits for you to opt in before turning the pattern into ongoing work.

Reply to inspect an item, accept the proposed routine, decline it, or change the next recap time. When a new rule runs, pally continues reporting the result, so the weekly summary remains both a record and a checkpoint. You stay able to pause or revise anything that no longer earns its place.

A useful fit

Good for

  • Reviewing the background work completed during the week
  • Seeing whether standing routines are still useful
  • Finding one repetitive task worth handing over
  • Keeping automation outcomes visible in a private note
  • Adjusting a weekly rhythm from the same conversation

Text it naturally

what were those scheduling changes in this week's recap?

Common questions

What appears in a Sunday recap?+

It summarizes concrete work pally completed for you during the week and can include one repeated pattern that may be worth automating. The recap is delivered privately in iMessage rather than posted into another conversation.

Does pally create a new routine from a suggestion automatically?+

No. The suggestion is opt-in, and pally waits for you to say yes before creating the standing rule. You can decline it, ask for a narrower version, or leave the pattern alone.

Can I change or stop the weekly recap?+

Yes. Reply with a new day or time, or ask pally to stop the recap. You can also question any item in the note and adjust the underlying routine when the report shows that it no longer fits.
