Pay the bill
Photo the paper bill, approve the total, and pally pays it on a card locked to that exact amount.
A paper bill sits on the counter until it is late. Send pally a photo and it reads the amount, the due date, and the account number, finds the payment page, and pays with a one-time virtual card locked to the exact total once you say go.
The routine
How it works
Photograph the bill as it sits on the counter. Pally reads the amount due, the due date, the account or reference number, and who is being paid. If a digit is genuinely unreadable in the photo, it asks you rather than guessing at a number that moves money.
Pally then finds the biller's payment page and works it in its secure browser, signing in with a login you saved when the account needs one. It fills in the reference and the amount, and stops at the point where the payment would actually go through.
Nothing is paid until you approve the exact total. For supported US payments, pally uses a one-time virtual card locked to the amount you approved, so the biller cannot charge a different figure later. If you would rather keep the last tap, it prepares everything and leaves it to you.
After the payment, pally saves the confirmation and receipt to your files and can email it to you, which is the version you want at tax time. Reply to turn the bill into a routine: a monthly watch, a reminder a few days before the due date, or a standing approval each time it arrives.

Common questions
How does pally know the amount?+
It reads the photo and tells you what it found before anything happens. You always see the amount, the due date, and the biller in the thread first, so you are never approving a number you have not seen.
What card gets used?+
For supported US payments, a one-time virtual card locked to the total you approved, which cannot be charged again for a different amount. You can also ask pally to prepare the payment and leave the final step with you.
What if the biller has no online payment?+
Pally tells you instead of pretending. On Pally Max it can call the biller to confirm how they take payment, and it can prepare everything else, including the reference number and the deadline reminder.
