List the places where you regularly are before class and time the full trip from each one. Include the route estimate, walk to transit, parking search, elevator, and the last hallway. Add a small buffer that reflects how the route actually behaves. Although this takes more setup than accepting a map's fastest estimate, it gives you stable departure targets for home, work, the library, and another building on campus.

Use a location-aware reminder or phone automation that can check whether you are at a saved place before the departure window. Create a branch for each regular starting point and a default alert for anywhere else. Allow location access at the level the feature requires, then review that permission later. Location checks use more battery and reveal more context to the operating system than a basic clock alert, so use only the places needed for this routine.

Keep a timed backup
Add one ordinary alarm before every class as a fallback. Set it early enough to cover your longest common trip and label it with the room, materials, and actual class start.
